Practice Policies

Welcome

Dr. P. Tran’s Osteopathic Touch provides patient-centered osteopathic care with a focus on hands-on treatment and pain management. Please review the following policies before scheduling an appointment.

Payment Policy

  • We participate with Medicare part B. Covered services are billed directly to Medicare. Copayments and deductibles apply as determined by Medicare.

  • Self-pay option is only available to patients who are not covered by Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, or Medicaid.

This means that if you have commercial insurance or no insurance, you are welcome to our self-pay option. You do not need to submit an insurance card on file.

If you have Medicaid insurance, you may not schedule and receive services at our clinic, and you may not self pay as required by the law.

Self-pay is not an option for patients who have Medicare for covered services. (also the law)

If you have commercial insurance, you may request an itemized receipt (superbill) to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed. We do not bill commercial insurers directly.

  • The practice does not participate with Medicaid. Medicaid beneficiaries are not accepted, and self-pay is not an option for Medicaid-covered services.

  • If you have commercial insurance, you may request an itemized receipt (superbill) to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed. We do not bill commercial insurers directly.

  • A credit card is required to be kept on file for all scheduled appointments. Payment for services is due at the time of your visit.

The card on file may be used only for:

    • Late cancellation fees

    • No-show fees

    • Outstanding balances

Card information is stored securely and is not used outside of these purposes.

Appointment Policy

  • Appointments are reserved specifically for you. Missed appointments and late cancellations prevent other patients from receiving care and impact the ability of the practice to function effectively.

  • Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.

  • A cancellation made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time is considered a late cancellation and may result in a $50 fee.

These fees are billed directly to the patient. Medicare and insurances do not cover late cancellation or no-show fees. The same policy applies to all patients regardless of insurance status.

  • Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice is considered a no-show and may result in a $75 fee.

These fees are billed directly to the patient. Medicare and insurances do not cover late cancellation or no-show fees. The same policy applies to all patients regardless of insurance status.

  • Patients who accumulate two (2) late cancellations and/or no-shows in a calendar year may be removed from the practice at the discretion of the physician. This policy is in place to ensure fair access to care for all patients.

  • Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances at the discretion of the physician.

  • Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance.

    • Late Cancellation Fee: $75
(Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.)

    • No-Show Fee: $100
(Missed appointments without any prior notice.)

These fees are billed directly to the patient. Medicare and insurances do not cover these fees.
